With over 20 years of experience in the NHS, I have worked across various settings, from acute adult mental health inpatient care to community mental health services. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and across all age groups.

Simple ways to increase your Energy & Vitality status

Breathwork: Practising various breath work can directly influence the body and mind, regulating the nervous system and inducing relaxation. The conscious control of breathing is said to influence a person's mental, emotional or physical state, with a therapeutic effect. Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables: Eating a diet rich and balanced in fruit and vegetables can support to lower stress and improve mental wellbeing


Staying Hydrated: The human body is composed of up to sixty five percent water. Even mild dehydration can affect mental and physical performance.

Enough sleep is required for healing, mental function, physical performance and wellbeing.

 

Exercise actually increases energy levels by increasing energy production on a cellular level. Exercise also increases energy by improving circulation, stabilising blood sugars, and increasing endorphin and hormone production.
