About Me
Amandeep
I come from an Indian heritage, a line of healers which has run through my family for generations and I have been blessed with a gift and I would like to share with the world.
I started my NHS Journey as a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse. For the majority of my career with the NHS I worked with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), supporting children and young people and families with a range of mental health and emotional difficulties.
I have had the opportunity to work within NHS Management and Operational Management of CAMHS. I have led the Children and Young People’s Community Eating Disorder Service (CYP CEDS), gaining a wealth of knowledge and skills in the NHS framework related to policies, clinical governance and best practices.
I like to keep my skills and knowledge base up to date in accordance with evidence-based and best practice treatments. I am a qualified Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. An evidence based therapy which can be used for the treatment to help people recover from psychological difficulties that typically originate in trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms.
My passion and love for self- healing and alternative therapies has very much sat close to my heart. I am completely fascinated by how the mind and body can create physical symptoms in the body and this can make us feel stuck or have an emotional response to the symptoms.
Holistic Therapies work to deepen the understanding of the ‘whole person’ and channel the energy to the mind, body and soul.
I am trained and qualified in Usui Reiki at level 1 and 2 in both Western and Japanese practices. It provides the much needed relaxation, calmness and tranquillity we all seek.
